The New York Yankees have recalled right-handed pitcher Nick Goody to fill Ivan Nova’s spot on the 25-man roster. This announcement comes following Nova’s trade to the Pirates this afternoon.

Goody has appeared in twelve games this season for the RailRiders. He has posted a 2.51 ERA with 23 strikeouts and four saves while in Scranton. Goody has appeared in 22 games with the Yankees this season, posting a 4.32 ERA over 25 innings with 30 strikeouts.
This will be Goody’s third stint in the Bronx this season.
The Yankees also announced right-handed reliever Tyler Clippard has been added to the active roster. He was traded to the Yankees in a deal with the Diamondbacks on Sunday. He has appeared in 40 games this season for the Diamondbacks and is 2-3 with a 4.30 ERA with 46 strikeouts in 37.2 innings of work.
